How do I book the studio?
Choose Book the studio to select your preferred set, date, time and duration, review the estimate and send a booking request. The studio reviews and confirms requests manually. Keep your private status link to check for updates. No payment is taken when you submit.
What is included in a rental?
Studio rental includes access to all seven designer sets, natural and studio lighting, furniture and production amenities. Your preferred set helps us plan your session. Preparation spaces, wardrobe pieces and seasonal setups may be add-ons; the studio confirms your inclusions before confirming the booking.
Where is CANVAS located?
CANVAS is in Mundelein, Illinois, in the Chicago area. Free on-site parking and street-level access are available. Exact arrival instructions are shared with your confirmed booking.
How much time should I book?
There is a two-hour minimum for standard studio rentals. Your rental time includes setup and cleanup, so allow time for lighting, wardrobe changes and returning furniture to its original position.
Can I bring my own photographer?
Yes. Studio rental provides the setting for you and your creative team. If you would like to arrange a session with a photographer, use the photography inquiry on our Artists page.
Can I bring décor or change the styling?
Discuss furniture changes, florals and extra props with the host before your session. Restore the space afterward. Glitter, confetti, paint and open flames are not permitted.
Is the studio suitable for video?
Photography and video productions are welcome. Audio recording is not included in standard studio rental. Discuss any production that requires recorded sound with the host before booking.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Agree cancellation and rescheduling terms directly with the studio before your booking is confirmed. If your plans change, contact the studio with your booking reference.
Can I use Nest or The Lounge?
Mention your wardrobe, makeup and preparation needs when planning your session. Access to preparation spaces and wardrobe items may carry an additional charge. The studio confirms access and pricing before your booking is confirmed.
